Privacy Policy

SpendAI is a budgeting and expense-tracking app operated by Q9 Labs. This policy explains how SpendAI processes information when you track expenses, manage budgets, use voice commands, receive alerts, or sync an account.

Information we process

• Account information: your name, email address, authentication provider identifiers, account identifier, and session information when you create or sign in to an account.
• Budgeting information: expenses, merchants, budgets, recurring payments, categories, notes, currencies, dates, savings goals, and spending summaries that you enter or create.
• Voice-command information: microphone audio is sent to a speech-processing provider when you choose to use a voice feature. SpendAI stores the resulting transcript, confidence score, processing status, and the command information needed to complete your request.
• Profile and preference information: your profile image, currency, AI personality, feedback style, feature preferences, and subscription status.
• Device and operational information: platform, device and session identifiers, notification permission status, diagnostic events, and limited technical information needed to keep the app reliable and secure.

You can use basic manual budgeting features as a guest. Guest budgets and expenses are stored on your device until you sign in and choose to sync them or remove the app data.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts; save and sync budgets and expenses; calculate summaries and alerts; transcribe and carry out voice commands; personalize in-app preferences; export data at your request; respond to support requests; prevent abuse; diagnose errors; and maintain the service.

SpendAI does not sell personal information and does not use it for cross-app advertising or advertising measurement. SpendAI is an organizational tool, not a bank, lender, broker, tax service, or source of financial advice.

Device permissions

SpendAI asks for microphone access when you use voice commands, notification access for alerts you enable, and photo-library access when you choose a profile image. The current app may also ask for foreground location permission during onboarding, but SpendAI does not read, store, or transmit your location for a product feature. You can deny or revoke any permission in your device settings.

Service providers

We use service providers to deliver requested features. These include Convex for application data and authentication, Google for optional sign-in, Deepgram for speech processing, OpenRouter and the selected model provider for voice-command interpretation, and Expo services for app notifications. Each provider receives only the information needed for the feature you use and processes it under its own service terms and privacy commitments.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and app data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can permanently delete your account from SpendAI under Settings → Delete Account. You can also review the account-deletion instructions or contact support if you cannot access the app.

Deletion removes the account record and active product data associated with it. Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or backup integrity. Backup copies expire through the normal backup cycle and are not used to restore a deleted account.

Security

We use access controls, authenticated sessions, and encrypted network connections to protect information. No online service can guarantee complete security.

Children

SpendAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International processing

SpendAI and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our features or data practices change. We will revise the effective date above and publish the current version on this page.
